Making an Appointment

• The practice is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
• Applicants should attend 30 minutes prior to the booked appointment time to complete necessary paperwork.
• For visa medical appointments, please use our online booking form and questionnaire.
• All appointment prices include a non-refundable fee of £80. If the cancellation is within 48 hours of the booked appointment, 50 percent of the appointment fee (minimum £80) will be charged.
• All medicals are now processed electronically on eMedical. All applicants must have a HAP ID number at the time of booking.
• Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

What to Bring

• Valid passport (mandatory)
• Valid HAP ID number
• Spectacles or contact lenses if you wear them
• Most recent clinic letter for any important medical conditions

The Examination

• All applicants over the age of 15 years will have a full medical examination including a blood test to assess kidney function.
• If indicated, an IGRA blood test is carried out over the age of 2 years to assess tuberculosis exposure.
• The medical involves a physical examination where the applicant will undress to underwear whilst wearing a gown.
• Most applicants aged 11 years and above will need a chest X-ray.
• Permanent Visa applicants aged 15 years and above will require blood tests for HIV status.
• Results typically take 3-4 working days to process and are then submitted via eMedical.
