Immigration Medical: Canada
The doctors in the practice are accredited to perform immigration medical examinations for Canada. With our in-house X-ray facilities, we offer a convenient one-stop service. All medicals are processed electronically on eMedical.
Making an Appointment
- The practice is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
- Applicants should attend 30 minutes prior to the booked appointment time.
- If you have not already lodged an application with IRCC or do not have an IME/UMI number, an "upfront medical" can be completed prior to your visa application.
- All appointment prices include a non-refundable fee of £80.
- Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
What to Bring
- Valid passport (mandatory)
- Medical Report form (Client Biodata and Summary Form)
- Spectacles or contact lenses if you wear them
- Most recent clinic letter for any important medical conditions
The Examination
- Please allow 1.5 to 2 hours from arrival for your appointment.
- The medical involves a physical examination where the applicant will undress to underwear whilst wearing a gown.
- Applicants aged 11 years and above will require a chest X-ray.
- Visa applicants aged 15+ will require blood tests for HIV and syphilis and kidney function.
- There is no need to fast for the blood tests.
- Results typically take 3-4 working days to process and are submitted via eMedical.
