UK TB Clearance Certificate
This appointment type is solely for individuals seeking a TB Clearance Certificate for entry clearance to go to the United Kingdom. If you are travelling to another country where a TB test is required you will have to book an appointment with the practice as a private patient.
Making an Appointment
- The practice is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
- Applicants should attend 30 minutes prior to the booked appointment time.
- All appointment prices include a non-refundable fee of £80.
- Depending on clinical findings, certain individuals may need sputum testing on 3 consecutive days at a facility in central London within 7 days.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
What to Bring
- Original Passport or Photo Identity document (passport, national ID card, Refugee Asylum Seeker Card)
- Copies of GP and/or specialist reports for any significant medical conditions
- Any clinical records relating to previous TB infection and treatment
The Examination
- Please allow 1.5 to 2 hours from arrival for your appointment.
- The medical may involve a physical examination where the applicant dresses down to underwear with a gown.
- All applicants aged 11 years and above will need a chest X-ray.
- Screening of children under 11 includes medical history and examination.
- Where there is no suspicion of active pulmonary tuberculosis, the Panel Physician will issue a TB Clearance Certificate within 2 working days.
